Comes with a 3.2L not a 4.3L..its the limited edition 4x4
My guess is the oil your using is the wrong multi-grade. The 4.3L requires 5w30 and if you're running to thick of oil in it, it will clatter.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS>
Hydraulic lifters are not adjustable. They are self adjusting. Even with the 3.2L, I still think you may have the wrong grade oil in the engine. I had an Olds years ago that would clatter with 10w30. I could only run 5w30 in it.
