A Wedding Band – The Final Image Of Love & Devotion
A marriage band is a ring created of precious metal, worn on the ring finger to symbolize marriage. A marriage band is indicative of the fidelity of the spouse. It's usually worn on the left ring finger.
It absolutely was a Greek belief {that the} vein in the left ring finger goes directly to the heart. The vein was known as vena amori. But trendy drugs has proven the belief incorrect. The custom of
sporting a wedding band is European and has now unfold widely across the world. However in Japanese Europe and a few components of Western Europe like the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany the marriage band is worn on the correct hand ring finger. Some folks wear wedding bands over the neck on a chain. Historically the wedding band is worn nearer to the base of the ring finger than the engagement band. Most of the days on the engagement band the spouse’s name is engraved once marriage and also the engagement band changes standing to become the marriage band. In ancient marriages it is the duty of the simplest man to take care of the wedding bands and manufacture them at the time of the ring giving and receiving ceremony. Typically the ring bearer (typically a young boy related to the bride or groom) carries the wedding bands on special cushions or pillows.
The ring symbolizes the couple’s love for every other. Making overtures to a person or woman wearing a hoop is frowned upon in society. The rings of men and girls are very little bit different in design. The bands of men are usually broader than the wedding bands of women. The same old thickness of the bands vary from two mm to ten mm. Usually a lot of ladies wear wedding bands than men. Some people because of their occupations like police men, troopers, electricians, actors etc do not generally wear wedding bands.
There are thousands of styles of wedding bands accessible within the market. Usually they're made of precious metals like gold (white gold & yellow gold), titanium, platinum, tungsten carbide, gun metal, stainless steel, nickel etc. Poisonous or corroding metals like aluminum, silver and brass are never used. But as per customs wedding bands will be created of any material. The styles obtainable are domed bands, milgrain bands, two tone bands, flat bands, fancy bands, diamond bands, designer bands, engraved bands, knife edge bands, brushed center bands, plain flat bands, Celtic bands, Irish bands, antique styles, etc. Usually the wedding bands for couples are sold in pairs with matching designs. Generally the names of spouses are engraved on the wedding bands. The most common pattern is a plain gold band. It's easier to scrub it and provides an elegant look.
Wedding bands are out there in engaging styles, studded with gems, with bright polish etc. The gems are obtainable in several shapes like spherical, marquise, heart, emerald, trillion, multi cut, pear, princess, oval etc. In France and French speaking countries usually the marriage bands are created of three interwoven rings. They represent love, faith and hope. The price of wedding bands vary from below $fifty to lots of bucks relying upon the kind of band and gem.

Gun barrel/ metal question. (Materials)?
This is going to sound pretty crazy, so don't even bother answering if you're an advertiser or a smart a$$.
Purely theoretical, which would hold up and perform better with polygonal rifling: Tantalum hafnium carbide or carbon fiber.
The only options.
I am serious about this, and you can argue night and day over that if you like.
Carbon fiber won't work. It is not hard or temperature resistant enough. Cleaning it would be a nightmare. Totally unsuitable. There are carbon fiber reinforced barrels out there, but they use a steel liner.
Don't know about THC. It sounds strong, stiff, high temp capability. Wear properties and corrosion resistance of liner is an issue.
I would use an exotic stainless alloy, like inconel or hastelloy, with lots of cold work to make it super strong. Maybe something with a dispersion of graphite (like cast iron) for low friction.
