TAMPA -- Bucs DT **Albert Haynesworth** did not practice Wednesday, but
general manager **Mark Dominik** stressed that was by design and not a result
of the player's unwillingness.
Dominik said it's actually an effort by the team to be smart with the
veteran's workload. He acknowledged there will be weeks where coaches give
Haynesworth multiple days off if that's what it takes for him to be ready to
go when it matters -- on Sundays. He was technically listed on the official
injury report as having a knee injury, one that caused him to miss two games
earlier this season.
"He's obviously a 30-year old veteran who has played a lot of football in his
career," Dominik said.
"... If that means sometime we feel like he needs two to three days off in a
row, we're going to do that. ... (There is) no set pattern of how we're going
to practice him. We're just going to make sure we keep him in condition and
ready to play."
